i am training for a half-marathon in june and i am getting so much L-O-V-E from strangers on the street.
i guess it’s not normal to see someone very heavy train for a half-marathon.
when people see me training about town they shout out words of encouragement:
today, when i broke into a sprint after walking a man walking by cheered, “There YOU GO!”
on saturday when i went up a huge hill for the second time and passed a couple for the second time the woman said, “You’re still here? WELL, good for you. GOOD FOR YOU! I give you so much credit!!!”
two weeks ago, i walked up a hill at the top was a house with a couple outside working on their lawn.
the man saw me huffing and puffing up the hill and kept on shouting, “you are almost there! YOU ARE ALMOST THERE!”
when i got to the top his wife/partner looked me straight in the eyes and said, “you are very brave.”
this is unrelated but i am studying for a huge professional test retake in june as well. yes. RETAKE. when i was on the phone with an instructor a few days ago telling him my thought process he interrupted me he to say point blank, “wow, you are super-smart”. i needed to hear that.
seriously, all of this love is coming at a much needed time and makes my feet and heart feel light.
much love in return,
